Working in the Accounts / Finance Department for a travel company at their London HQ near Tottenham Court Road, the Hotel Commissions Receivable Assistant will be responsible for tracking, invoicing and chasing hotel commissions for the company and its IC’s (Independent contractors / travel agents that have their own businesses) in line with company policy. The successful applicant will allocate all hotel commissions received in a timely manner to the IC’s to ensure that the correct flow of monies is followed through to the Agent Commission Statements.

Reporting To: Hotel Commissions Receivable Manager
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all hotel commissions are being recorded daily from Sabre into the hotel commissions software
- To ensure that IC’s are manually entering group bookings into the hotel commission software
- To send out daily invoices/statements to hotels
- Allocate cash receipts daily against the correct invoice(s) this includes cheques received, bank transfers, TAPS, Expedia, Onyx etc.
- Produce monthly reports to assist the Finance team with the Agent Commission Statement process
- Produce monthly reports for Aged hotel commissions debts
- Actively chase hotel commissions that are outstanding by sending statements and calling the hotels
- Build up good relationships with hotel payables
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:
- Good computerised back office skills
- Good administration skills
- Strong Excel processing skills
- Sabre GDS preferable but not essential
- An organised and methodical approach to working
- The ability to concentrate on one task for long periods of time
- An honest and discreet attitude when dealing with company accounts
- A willingness to undertake professional development
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to (often complex) in-house systems
- The ability to work to deadlines and priorities workload
- Good communication skills

The Package & Working Hours:
- Basic salary is £25,000 per annum, plus bonus + benefits
- 25 days (5 weeks) annual leave plus public holidays, including health benefits that include Bupa Dental and Health Insurance
- Fam Trips
- Working hours, 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday
