This is a key strategic hire for the company where the General Manager will have full ownership of running a niche division of the business. The General Manager role will account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales, improve revenue, customer service, develop marketing, maintain relationships with key suppliers and clients, enhance the organisation’s image and meet overall growth objectives.

The Role & Responsibilities:
- Work directly with organisational leadership and Directors at the parent company
- Monitor, manage and control the performance of staff reporting to the position to maximise ouput, efficiency, service and motivation
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously whilst working to deadlines
- Work closely with the financial director to establish the level of sales required for each calendar month to meet annual targets
- Develop on-going strategic relationship with suppliers/DMC’s to introduce new luxury products and destinations & build on existing product ranges to meet changing consumer demands
- Actively build positive working relationships across wider organisations in the travel industry
- Work closely with HQ and marketing department to develop brand and customer loyalty through travel/non-travel events, advertising and social media channels
- Put customers first in the business. Ensuring the point-of-sale and after-sales customer experience is exceptional, positively representing the brand
- Work alongside HR, responsible for the whole process of recruitment for your operation, including coordinating induction for new starters
- Liaise with group IT with day to day software/technical issues
- Oversee the general administration, improve processes and ensure it runs smoothly
Now Let’s Talk About You:
- Travel Manager with above experience gained within a Tour Operator/OTA/Retail Travel
- Intelligent, articulate and decisive, have a calculated and deliberate mind-set
- Strong fundamental understanding of travel business KPIs, the ability to demonstrate strategic capability and must be commercially astute
- Strong desire to test new processes in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Tenacious and determined character; ability to be resilient
